Footstool References
Margaret -Auckland
I found out about your footstools when searching online for a wooden step stool.
It will be most useful in the kitchen to reach the high shelves and, I’m sure, my grandson will love it for a seat and a step to reach the bench. I feel much happier supporting NZ made from local recycled timber than buying an ugly plastic step from The Warehouse! Many thanks and congratulations to your team of workers in your community efforts.

Yes, arrived safely thank you. Keep it in pantry for reaching top shelf. Light enough to move where ever needed. Beautiful finish. Found online when searching for footstool and liked your community initiative.
Many thanks

Yes, it's great thanks! I have really tall cabinets in my kitchen, so it is just a stylish option for getting better access. I found you through a google search. I just searched "wooden footstool nz" it wasn't one of the first options that came up, but it did show lower down the list.
Christine - Whakatane
Yes - the footstool arrived and I love it thanks.
I googled searched ‘ Rimu footstool’ and scrolled down - and came across your club selling them.
We’ve just replaced our kitchen and I can’t reach the higher cupboards - so I originally wanted it for that
But already the grandchildren have already used it as a seat/obstacle course jump over and multi-purpose plaything.
Thank you
Christine

We need a footstool for the kitchen and this one would be perfect.
Grace - Timaru
I am intending on using it to reach the top hanging rail in my wardrobe which is about 5cm too high for me.
I remember my Grandmother having two of them when I was very small and I recall them very extremely handy so I could reach the kitchen bench.
Melissa - Wellington
I’ll be using it because I’m 5 foot 1 and can’t reach anything! Hobbit genes unfortunately. Affordable stool which is handmade and cool at the same time!
Judith - Christchurch
Thank you for the prompt service. The footstool arrived safely this morning; it is beautifully made so congratulation to the MenzShed.

I found you by a simple google search - looking for a wooden step stool.
I was looking for a wooden step stool to use in the kitchen.

We are getting a new kitchen installed in country style, and wanted a smallish stool to reach the top cupboards that would suit the area. This is perfect!
Hi Gary, the stool arrived yesterday so super quick!
I love it, it’s exactly what I wanted
Shelley - Prebbleton
I found out about it through a girl from work who purchased one before Xmas.
I’m not sure how I’ll be using it yet, maybe to rest my wine glass on!

I found you through a google search for wood footstool nz, you were one of the top results. Very happy to find a local option :)
I'm planning to use the stool in my kitchen mainly, I have a tall, deep pantry which I can't see or access beyond what is at the very front - I'm certain I will find some surprises up there!

I need small stepstools so that my son can reach the bathroom basin on his own to wash his hands. We have a small toilet with a small vanity so anything larger than your footstool (which we will stow under the vanity when not in use) is an annoying tripping hazard in the small space. We have two spaces where we need him to be able to reach the basin, hence two stools! We will probably end up using the stepstools in many other places because it's much easier to carry around than the other, larger, two stepstools that we have.
We also really prefer to buy household items that are solid wood and not flimsy plastic where possible and especially love it when it supports a local business or community group!

I did a Google search your website come up. My late father was a Rotarian, so happy due to the great work that you guys do,
The stool is for my wife's birthday, and I thank my wife intends to use it as a small coffee table beside one of our lounge chairs
Jessica – Christchurch
The reason I am buying the stool is that I have just adopted a little rescue dog who loves to sit on my lap, but when I am at the table, she can slip down off my lap, so I want to raise my feet so she is secure while I work on my laptop etc, I will also use it to reach high cupboards etc, safer than tottering on a chair

I would love to order one for my mother who has recently moved into a villa in a retirement village… lots of fittings and designs in the villa are non-standard/more suitable for older folk who are less mobile. This includes a “tall” toilet … which is great, except she is only 5ft - so she needs something to prevent dangling feet!! These stools look much nicer than the plastic ones!

I plan to give the footstool to my husband for Christmas so that he doesn’t put his feet on the coffee table while watching TV.
I found your site by searching for 'wooden footstool NZ’.
Nicola – Christchurch
I googled footstool as I need something for a large plant to sit on.
Jeremy – Christchurch
The reason for the order is that I have a 4'10" girlfriend, so a step will make reaching for the glassware a lot less scary for both of us. I found out about these footstools after looking at all the plastic on TradeMe and then googling "Rimu stool". There aren't many of those and the Rotary website showed up near the top.

I plan to use the stool in our kitchen. I've just had some new cabinets put in which go all the way to the ceiling, and it's a bit annoying to drag a dining chair in there all the time to reach the top shelves. We also have kids here sometimes, and I'm sure they'll stand on it to get to the sink to rinse their plates or put their scraps in the compost bin. We live in hope.

I found the footstools by searching online. I've been looking for something for use in our home, as my partner could do with a little extra height. We were pretty disappointed by the options at Bunnings etc, and much prefer having a handmade product if that's available. We live in a 1940s ex state house in Wellington and the whole thing (including T&G floors) is basically made out of Rimu, so a Rimu stool also seemed fitting.

My nail salon will be opening soon and the footstools will be used as pedicure foot rest. I just googled "footstool nz" and luckily, I got you.

I have bought 4 footstools to give to my brothers for Xmas. They all love the outdoors and natural timber so they will be ideal.
